FROM HAMSTRING STRAIN TO FULL SPEED

Running again is one step. Full speed is the goal. Hamstring rehab built to get you back to sprinting, competing, and trusting your hamstring when the game speeds up.

KNOW WHEN TO PUSH. KNOW HOW MUCH.

Getting back faster isn’t about doing more. It’s knowing when to push, how much to push, and what you actually need to get back to sport safely.

Your hamstring rehab shouldn’t follow a generic timeline. Before we decide how fast to progress, we look at your bigger picture:

  • Where you are in your season and what’s coming up

  • Your short-term and long-term goals

  • What brings on symptoms right now, and what doesn’t

  • How much you can safely be challenged today

  • The positions and speeds your sport will demand

JOGGING ISN’T FULL SPEED

Being able to jog doesn’t mean your hamstring is ready to sprint. That gap between comfortable running and full-speed sport is exactly what we build your rehab around.

  • Rebuild strength through the angles and positions you’ll see at speed

  • Restore mobility and build load tolerance

  • Return to running, then progressively faster running

  • Train acceleration, sprinting and top speed

  • Add reactive work, plyometrics and change of direction

  • Prepare for repeated high-speed efforts in competition

PAIN-FREE DOESN’T MEAN READY

Symptoms are information, not the whole decision. We use objective testing throughout rehab to see how your hamstring is actually responding and to guide what comes next.

Every progression is earned, not scheduled. Throughout rehab we measure:

  • Hamstring strength and side-to-side differences

  • Force production and rate of force development on force plates

  • Acceleration and sprint speed as running progresses

  • How your hamstring responds to load and which positions bring on symptoms

  • Results compared over time to guide each next step

What Happened

How the injury happened, how irritable it is, and which movements hurt right now.

What You Can Handle Now

Objective strength testing, mobility and current running capacity, so we know your true starting point.

What Your Sport Requires

The speeds, positions and repeated efforts your hamstring needs to handle when you return.

Your Plan to Full Speed

A clear progression from where you are today to full sport demands, adjusted as you respond.

The team at Petroski Physio is so knowledgeable and informative with great communication. The facility is such a great environment for athletes to train and do therapy. They worked with my son for about two months and continued to work with him as he got himself back on the field. We had tried other programs and unfortunately my son’s injury would gradually come back. So happy we found Nick and his team at Petroski Physio. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for. The staff is not only incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but also genuinely kind and attentive. They take the time to understand your goals, explain the treatment plan thoroughly, and adjust as needed to make sure you’re progressing safely and effectively. I mainly worked with both Jared and Pat. They are truly outstanding therapists. They took the time to listen to my concerns, clearly explained my treatment plan, and tailored every session to help me meet my recovery goals. Their knowledge, encouragement, and hands-on approach made a huge difference in my progress. I always felt motivated and supported, even on the tough days. The facility is clean, modern, and well-equipped, which adds to the overall sense of comfort and trust. What truly sets this place apart is the personalized attention — I never felt like “just another patient.” Every session was focused, encouraging, and tailored to my needs. Thanks to their expert care, I’ve made incredible progress in my recovery and feel stronger, more mobile, and more confident than I have in months. If you’re looking for a place that truly prioritizes your health and healing, look no further. Highly recommend! It’s not just another PT spot. It’s Petroski Physio #RehabDifferent
